However, not every home is ideal for photos, and that’s completely okay. That’s why I always ask for photos and videos of your home before your session. I want to make sure we choose the option that will give you the best photos possible, because my goal is to provide the most wonderful experience and the most beautiful images for your family.

Another factor is the studio fee. There is usually an extra cost to use a studio, but it’s typically not excessive and is often worth it. Many parents feel that not having to clean or prepare their home is well worth the additional cost.
Why Some Families Choose In-Home Newborn Sessions
Some families absolutely love the idea of a lifestyle in-home newborn session. They want photos in their baby’s nursery, on their bed, or in their living room — places that hold meaning for them.
But there are a few things to think about when choosing an in-home session:
- What does your duvet cover look like?
- How much light is in your nursery?
- Is your nursery fully set up yet?
